MAUSD Early Education Program

Mount Abraham Unified School District Early Education Program (MAUSD EEP) supports children and families within our four--town community including Bristol, Monkton, New Haven, and Starksboro. MAUSD Early Education Program is a child centered, nurturing community that strives to serve all children and their families through meaningful relationships and play based learning. We believe all children and families belong and are valuable members of a healthy community.

MAUSD EEP believes that a child’s early years of development are a unique and valuable time in a child's life. Children develop and learn through play in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. We value each child’s style of learning and will foster their individuality by building their joy and love of learning through implementing age appropriate activities that are hands-on, investigative, and based on children’s interests in their homes, community and culture.

Including all children and families is our priority.  We believe all children have the right to play and learn. We do not discriminate in providing high quality education and services to children and their families on the basis of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, disability, marital status, gender identity or sexual orientation.

Independence and self reliance skills are an important aspect in early childhood development.  A child’s ability to take care of their needs, solve problems, and generate ideas builds self esteem and independence. The Early Education Program staff will encourage your child to build these skills throughout our program.  Finally, we believe the family is the primary influence and first teacher of their child.  The Early Education Program staff will work in cooperation and conjunction with the family to provide the most developmentally appropriate support for each child.

The MAUSD Early Education Program offers three different groups with a program enrollment of 12 children per group:
